Make over Tuscany Style
Well, I have officially moved in, less than a month now. The first thing I did was order Italian living room furniture. They should be coming soon. Also ordered a grand piano. That was expensive! (but less than what I paid for for the house) What colors to paint my walls? terra cotta and sandy yellow....ahhh now thats relaxing reminiscent of laying on Ipanema beach. The feel of rust and iron casting mirrors. For surround sound entertainment, I went with philipps sounds, large 100inch screen, along with projector, all inclusive tv, dvd and musical depth and richness. And this was only the living and entertaining rooms. For the kitchen and dining rooms, tuscany olive chinaware with old style cabinets and different upholstered dining set, to offset the modern look. Afterall we are attempting to transport one back to rustic countryside feel. For the bedrooms, ahhh my domain, the walls will be dark olive green and bold blue, one colored wall with the rest as contrasting yellow. The moldings are coming up next. Then there are the oil paintings to hang on the walls, bold vibrant villages and small towns in Tuscany. Finally, to tackle the landscape, the sprinkler system and new lawn were installed in the front and backyards. The cherry blossom tree in the backyard is flanked by a flower bed on one side and herbal garden on the otherside. For the topping, I got a small puppy, a dachshund, nameless for now, until EJ can name him. I am now content to look outside my french/italian doors, into my garden. A running waterfall or trivoli fountain would complete the picturesque.
